Join us for a Hands Four first: an afternoon of easygoing contra dances, accessible to newcomers and still abundantly pleasing for old-timers, too! Featuring Derrick Doty on fiddle, Craig McMeekin on guitar, and Michael Ludgate on mandolin, the O'Shanigans will play tunes for your dancing pleasure from New England, Southern Appalachia, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, England, and beyond.

Leading the dances will be veteran caller David Smukler from Syracuse, author of Cracking Chestnuts and former member of the board of directors of the Country Dance and Song Society, of which Hands Four is an affiliate. David is known far and wide for his clear teaching style and his wide repertoire of interesting dances.
